Philips Alice 6 LDx Diagnostic Sleep System
The Alice 6 LDx is Philips’ full-featured in-lab polysomnography (PSG) system, built for sleep centers that need the depth and flexibility of a true Level 1 diagnostic study. It’s the workhorse behind comprehensive overnight sleep testing — capturing everything from brain activity to breathing patterns so clinicians get the complete picture, not just a snapshot.
What it does
During an attended overnight study, the Alice 6 LDx records physiological data through a wide array of sensors placed on the patient — EEG for brain waves, EOG for eye movement, chin and leg EMG for muscle activity, ECG for heart rhythm, plus airflow, respiratory effort, and oxygen saturation. With support for up to 55 channels, it’s built to handle routine studies and complex cases alike, including split-night studies and CPAP titrations, without needing a different system for each scenario.
Why sleep labs choose it
- Scalable channel count — configure the system for a straightforward diagnostic study or scale up for more complex, high-channel-count cases
- Runs on Sleepware G3 — Philips’ PSG software platform ties acquisition, scoring, and reporting together, so technologists spend less time managing equipment and more time watching the patient
- Reliable, lab-grade accuracy — long-established as a reference standard, often used as the benchmark against which home sleep testing devices are validated
- Built for real clinical workflow — supports the full range of sleep studies a lab typically runs, from screening to titration, on one system
